All About Function, PC
For Dr. Annie Babb, the path to founding All About Function, PC began with personal experience, years in dentistry, and a desire to better understand how oral function affects overall health. Her work focuses on the connections between feeding, breathing, sleep, oral function, development, and the way the body functions as a whole. She works with infants, children, and families seeking answers in those areas, helping parents better understand how these factors can influence a child’s growth, development, and daily life.
Dentistry was familiar territory from an early age. Dr. Annie grew up around her father’s dental practice and later earned her degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2011. She went on to spend nearly a decade practicing alongside her father before her own breathing challenges and the difficulties her daughter experienced as a baby led her in a new direction. As she searched for answers, she became deeply interested in airway health, oral restrictions, and orofacial myofunctional therapy. What began as a personal search soon became a professional focus. The more she learned, the more certain she became that this was where she wanted to focus her work.
That background continues to shape how she approaches patient care. Rather than viewing concerns as isolated issues, Dr. Annie takes a broader perspective, looking at how oral function interacts with other systems throughout the body. Her work includes consultations for infants, children, and families looking for guidance on feeding, breathing, sleep, oral development, and function. For infants, that may involve helping families connect with lactation support and other resources when needed. For older children, it may include evaluating airway concerns, discussing next steps with specialists such as ENTs or orthodontists, providing in-office myofunctional therapy, or determining whether a tongue-tie release is appropriate. She also offers airway scans that provide three-dimensional imaging of structures such as the tonsils, adenoids, and nasal passages, giving families another way to understand what may be contributing to breathing and oral function concerns.
Families often appreciate the time and attention they receive throughout the process. Dr. Annie has structured her practice in a way that allows for conversation, questions, and thoughtful decision-making. She spends time helping parents understand what she is seeing, what options are available, and why a particular recommendation may or may not be appropriate. While she performs surgical releases when they are needed, her philosophy is centered on improving function first and using the least invasive approach appropriate for each child. She also views each child within the larger context of growth, development, movement, breathing, and overall function, rather than treating one procedure as the entire answer.
Dr. Annie is quick to point out that she is only one part of a larger picture. She works closely with a network of providers from a variety of disciplines, regularly collaborating and learning alongside others who share a similar perspective on patient care. That commitment to learning, combined with the time she spends educating and guiding families, shapes the experience people can expect at All About Function. It is a practice built around careful evaluation, honest conversation, and giving families the information they need to make confident decisions for their children.

Dr. Annie and her team are incredible. We came to them when my daughter was 4 months old with a tongue, lip and cheek tie. With Dr. Annie’s guidance, we started with the BabyLase procedure as a non-surgical option to try and release some tension but ultimately decided that going forward with the release was the best option for my daughter.
Dr. Annie and her team were extremely knowledgable and thorough, making sure every question is answered. I was extremely nervous about doing the release but they helped me feel confident in making this decision and I am so glad I did.
Before her release, my baby was extremely reactive and not an easy one to work with during the BabyLase procedures. Shoutout to Courtney who was so kind and made sure to take her time with my daughter to make her as comfortable as possible. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about her. She is exactly the type of person you would want to trust your baby with.
We are now a couple of months post-release and everything healed so wonderfully. My daughter has become so much more of a happier baby without the added tension in her mouth from her ties. Trusting Dr. Annie and her team was one of the best decisions I have made.
