Ancient Earth Landscaping

Ancient Earth Landscaping is a landscaping business led by owner John Nowicki, focused on designing and building outdoor spaces that feel natural, balanced, and built to last. His work includes landscape design, pollinator planting, moss and shade gardens, stone garden paths, brick firepits, and brick and stone patios, all shaped around the character of the property rather than a standard plan.

John’s connection to the work started early. He grew up on land surrounded by gardens and orchards, and his father ran a masonry business, so natural stone and clay-fired brick were a constant part of his environment. Some of his earliest memories are tied to time spent planting and being outdoors. He often jokes that his first landscaping project came at four years old, when he left preschool with a silver maple sapling and planted it himself. That tree is still standing today. Over time, working with plants, stone, and brick became a steady part of his upbringing and continues to shape how he approaches his work today.

That approach comes from a combination of his background and his own artistic perspective on how a space comes together. His work centers on native plantings and natural materials, with an emphasis on building spaces that fit their surroundings rather than stand apart from them. Whether it is a stone path, a patio, or a planted area, the goal is to create something that looks settled and makes sense for the property.

People who work with John often notice how straightforward the process is. He is known for being reliable and easy to work with. Whether it is updating an existing yard or building out a more complete outdoor space, the work is handled with care and attention to detail. His crew brings that same approach, showing up ready to work and taking pride in the finished result.

Ancient Earth Landscaping is a good fit for those who want more than a standard approach and are drawn to a more artistic way of landscaping. It tends to resonate with people who value natural materials, thoughtful design, and outdoor spaces that work with the existing environment rather than following a one-size-fits-all layout, all done with care from start to finish.
