BUILT Physical Therapy & Performance

Natalie Roe

For people who want to move with less pain and greater confidence, BUILT Physical Therapy & Performance offers a personal approach centered on understanding the individual, not simply treating the area that hurts. Dr. Natalie Roe takes time to learn what each person wants to return to, whether that means competing in a sport, lifting weights, running, staying active, or moving through everyday life more comfortably.

Natalie grew up around athletics and was drawn to physical therapy partly because she wanted to be part of a team. She studied exercise science, medical sciences, and psychology at Indiana University before earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

During her studies, Natalie became fascinated with anatomy and learning how the human body works. That curiosity still shapes the way she practices. Her clinical experiences with active adults, collegiate athletes, and professional athletes gave her valuable insight into movement and performance, while helping her recognize where she felt most useful.

She found the greatest meaning in helping people understand their bodies and giving them the tools to make lasting changes. That realization helped shape BUILT. Natalie wanted enough time to listen closely, evaluate how the body works as a whole, explain what she was finding, and create a plan around the person in front of her.

Her idea of teamwork remains central to the experience. Natalie views each client relationship as a small team working toward a shared goal. She provides knowledge, clear guidance, and honest feedback, while the client brings effort, consistency, and a commitment to what they want to accomplish. She explains the reasons behind each exercise and helps people understand how strength, mobility, and movement patterns affect the way they feel and perform.

Care may include hands-on treatment, dry needling, mobility work, movement correction, and exercises selected for the individual. The gym setting allows people to move beyond basic rehabilitation and prepare for lifting, running, sports, or the physical demands of daily life. Progress is reassessed along the way, giving clients a clearer picture of what is changing and what still needs attention.

What stands out is the earnestness Natalie brings to her practice. She listens closely, takes people’s concerns seriously, and becomes genuinely invested in what they are trying to accomplish. Her encouragement comes from wanting people to understand their bodies, believe in what they can do, and return to the parts of life that matter to them. She teaches, challenges, and supports each person as a teammate, helping them take an active role in moving forward.

My path to Dr. Natalie Roe was a long, stressful, discouraging and expensive journey. I was ready to give up and live with chronic pain. I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her on my healing process. This was like no other physical therapy I had ever experienced. Truly 1 on 1 with the doctor!! Her genuine care and compassion is enhanced by her ability to listen. I can’t recommend her enough.
