The Artist’s Den
When you step into The Artist’s Den in Highland, the first thing you notice is how easy it feels to settle in and create. The space is bright, clean, and inviting, with an atmosphere that encourages you to take your time. Whether you come in for a relaxed afternoon, a simple date idea, or time with family, the studio feels welcoming from the start.
The Artist’s Den is owned by Teri Yovkovhic, and her approach shows in the way the studio is run. People often describe the experience as friendly, patient, and surprisingly comfortable, even if you have never done anything like it before. Help is there when you need it, with clear guidance, helpful tips, and a steady sense of support that makes the process feel approachable.
At its heart, this is a ceramics painting studio where you can choose a piece, pick your colors, and enjoy the simple rhythm of painting and glazing. There are also options like canvas painting and wood projects, which makes it easy for different ages and skill levels to find something they enjoy. The environment stays calm and organized, and many guests appreciate how the studio makes room for both casual walk-in visits and group experiences.
What people seem to value most is the combination of creativity and kindness. The Artist’s Den offers a place to slow down, focus your hands and mind on something tangible, and leave with something you made yourself. It is the kind of local space that turns a simple outing into a shared memory, guided by care, patience, and a genuine love of helping people create.

So much fun!!!! We took my mother in law here for her birthday, just as a walk in and we were welcome to come with open arms. Staff was amazing!! Loved the ladies! We came to visit my mother-in-law from Ohio for her birthday and will definitely come back to the Artists Den when we visit again to paint some more. It was such a great, fun, relaxing experience!!
