The Scrambled Diner

The Scrambled Diner exterior

Schererville’s Scrambled Diner reflects the kind of care you notice right away, the kind that comes from owners who are fully invested in what they create. Ben and Jen Moore built their diner around a simple idea. Food brings people together, and when it is made with real attention and honest ingredients, it becomes something more than a meal. Their approach is rooted in the traditions they both grew up with, backed by years of experience in professional kitchens and restaurant management, yet grounded in the feeling of cooking for family.

From the moment you step inside, you sense the pride that goes into each plate. Customers often mention how much they enjoy being able to see the cooks at work and the care that goes into each dish. Everything starts from scratch, and you can taste the difference in the house made staples that give their dishes a signature character. Fresh ingredients are handled with care, and familiar flavors are reimagined with thoughtful combinations that feel both comforting and new. The result is food that people return to again and again because it feels genuine.

The atmosphere has the relaxed pace of a neighborhood spot where folks settle in for breakfast or lunch without any rush. Portions are generous, and the menu reflects the Moores’ commitment to offering something memorable for a wide range of tastes. What stands out most is the consistency. Whether someone stops in for a quick bite or gathers with family, the experience carries the same steady quality that regulars appreciate.

Ben and Jen built the kind of diner where passion shows in the work and where customers feel welcome. Scrambled Diner continues to earn its reputation as a place where good food and good people come together, offering a dependable and heartfelt meal at a table that feels like home.

If you ever want delicious ‘home cooked food feel’ this is the place. Honestly every time we come it’s consistent and delicious. 🤤 I have 3 boys and the portions are worth the price. People may complain about the price but honestly it never fails to be a success. It’s worth it. You can taste the time they put into it. Fresh quality ingredients. Like not cheap little slices of bacon but the hardy bacon 🥓 Thick slices of bread 🍞 . They make their own apple butter. Ketchup. Hot sauce. Hashbrowns. Best pancakes 🥞 hands down. The kids can attest to it. Cozy atmosphere and very very friendly service. I mean when we’re deciding a breakfast spot we always end up back at Scrambled. I also love that you can see the wonderful gentlemen cooking your food. That’s rare now days.
