Someone may come to VIDA Beauty Bar with one service in mind and discover there is considerably more available once they are there. Owner Emily Villarreal has spent more than two decades in the beauty industry, beginning as a hairstylist before moving into salon management, permanent makeup, and eventually opening a place of her own. She first worked independently from a suite, then opened VIDA after outgrowing it.

Hair remains an important part of Emily’s work, particularly color and extensions, along with relationships she has built with clients over many years. Permanent makeup became another specialty, including microblading, powder brows, and lip blushing. Her interest in the craft eventually led her into teaching as well. After completing her own training in Florida and recognizing that similar instruction was difficult to find closer to home, Emily began teaching aspiring permanent makeup artists herself.

Her experience also comes through in the way she works with people. Emily takes time to explain procedures, answer questions, and help clients understand what to expect. Those who have been coming to her for years have learned to trust her suggestions and expertise, whether they are sitting down for their hair or trusting her with something as personal as their brows. Her approach combines professionalism with a friendly manner and attention to what suits the individual.

Variety is another part of VIDA. Along with Emily’s hair and permanent makeup services, the beauty bar offers facials, full-body waxing, lash and brow services, and permanent jewelry. That range gives clients access to several beauty services in the same clean, welcoming setting.

Emily has spent much of her career keeping up with an industry that continues to change. Just as important is the personal side of the work. People are welcomed warmly, questions are taken seriously, and there is a level of familiarity that comes with seeing the same clients year after year. While the services may change with the industry, the trust Emily has built with clients remains a constant.
